Children In Worship

At Heritage, we value the importance of welcoming children into worship. Children bring special gifts to worship and will grow in faith, through their regular inclusion and participation. But like any discipline, children need instruction in new activities. Don't miss out on any of these opportunities and tools to help our children learn how to worship God.

Wee Worship – Children age 3 – 5 are invited to age appropriate worship activities following the Children's Message each Sunday during worship.

Children in Worship Workshops – scheduled monthly for 1 st /2 nd graders and their parents. Older children are welcomed to join any workshop.

Worship Bags – available from the ushers during worship. More than coloring sheets, children have bag of age appropriate resources to guide them through the scripture and Order of Worship.

Children's Worship Notes- child friendly guide to encourage listening skills and to spark conversation at home.

Church Mice Stickers – to help children identify times during the service to listen, pray, sing and give.

ABC's of Parenting in the Pews – a pamphlet available in the atrium that offers practical tips to parents.

Taking Faith Home Inserts –available in your weekly bulletin to continue worship and conversation at home.

Find a Friend – You don't have young children in your house? Invite a young friend to join you in the pew. Our children learn best how to worship by modeling adults. Sit with a family of a young family and show them how you worship. And all God's Children said, "Amen".
